Mitra was born in Tehran, Iran. She lives and works in Oslo, Norway. She has a background in family studies with a focus in art therapy. She has long experience of teaching creative art to children and youth. She also has been involved in community organizations in a variety of functions, teaching, mentoring, writing, researching, and arranging meetings and workshops. She has passionate about art and her artworks are mainly inspired by people and society.
